Had a great time performing at the Ateneo de Cuidad del Saber (City of Knowledge Athenaeum), Panama City, Panama. It is a huge, beautiful venue which operates in the former Clayton movie house building (built in 1935 and recently renovated by the City of Knowledge Foundation) considered an example of "Spanish Colonial Revival" architecture, characteristic of the Bella Vista neighborhood.

The inside of the theater was gorgeous. I've included some video footage of the Sonata Breve, written for me by my dad, Henry Rose. (Aside: I just wanted to thank Justin Bieber for giving his concert in Panama on the same night we performed. Due to this, all the regular sound/video crew were off recording that spectacular event. Therefore, please forgive the sound quality, as I recorded this performance myself.)

Here are some photos taken with Me, my Dad, Henry Rose, his great Aunt, Emily Butcher, and his childhood piano teacher, Jaime Ingram.

The following day, October 25th I delivered a masterclass and lecture recital at the Universidad de Panama with my dad, Henry Rose. We performed his Sonata Breve as well as the first piece from the Paul Hindemith 3 Pieces for Violoncello and Piano, Op. 8.

Thankfully, as my Spanish ability is pretty sparse, my dad was able to serve as my translator.. Thanks, Dad!

All in all, it was a great time and I was extremely grateful for all those who helped the performance and masterclass come together. Panama is a beautiful place, and hopefully I'll get an opportunity to perform there again in the near future.
